cordelia.net was started by Cordelia
Salter in 1997 as a web design studio specialising in high quality web sites with an African theme.
Since then we have designed sites for private individuals, businesses, artists, UN agencies and more.
We are also pioneers in the
field of ecommerce in Africa - our ecommerce site sourcing traditional African arts and crafts,
eShopAfrica.com, has been sited in the international media as an
example of technology being used to bridge the digital divide.
Cordelia is English and lived in the US for a year
before moving to Africa in 1979. Since then she's lived in Egypt, Sudan,
Sierra Leone, Ethiopia and Ghana. Before the Internet she specialised in
the appropriate use of information technology in aid and development projects.
Through this work she has connections all over Africa. She's currently living in Rome, Italy.
